Linksys WRT120N router setup is very easy and you can do it manually. I have a WRT120N router installed in my office. All PC and Laptops are connected to it via WiFi. There are about 3 PC and 4 Laptops The WiFi keeps going Off now and then. And comes back on in a minitue.

Just got a WRT120N and went online to get the most recent firmware and when i performed the upgrade it’s gets about 3/4 of the way completed before it just stalls and start screen blinking like it’s caught up or something. I using a modem, wrt120n router connection with a Brand New Sony Vaio laptop. I have a problem with current (1.0.06) firmware on WRT120N. Few hours after restart DHCP server stops assigning IP addresses. I have a wrt120n wireless router and use Network Magic Essentials with 2 computers on my network. It has worked fine for about 2 years. I recently upgraded the desk top from an XP pro service pack 2 to a service pack 3. I am now unable to receive files from my laptop which is a Vista or print from the laptop. For some reason my wireless router recognized my pc, or my modem, Neither is it able to connect to the internet. All the lights are on but not flashing/blinking like they used to. I tried to run the setup over and it couldn’t find the router even though everything was plugged correctly. I tried reseting the router but that doesn’t even affect it. I didnt worry about it until I got an Iphone and now .I was able to re-establish the wireless connection on my netbook today after a ton of research and messing around with the settings and then downloaded network magic, which finally fixed the problem. I believe that it automatically transmitted the WEP key to the Netbook, which is what I am missing when I try to log into the network on the Iphone.How do I get this password to show up on Network Magic? I had issues with my router incorrectly resolving URLs. For example, going to facebook.com would gtive me a ’wiki does not exist’ message. Pinging facebook.com would give me an IP that belongs to wikipedia. The answer was SUPPOSED to be upgrading to v3.0.03.I upgraded and now my router WILL NOT connect to my DSL modem. Oh, it says it’s connected and shows the correct IP address for my DSL modem but the gateway is showing 0.0.0.0. I have a wrt54g (8.1) that was acting a little funny so did some googling and followed the instructions to install new firmware. First the installation failed, double checked to make sure I downloaded the correct file (FW_WRT54G_8.1.09.02_US_20071227.bin), did a reset and power cycle. There is no “firmware” number after the model and I believe this router has never had a firmware upgrade. However, if I try to download any of the 3 upgrades from the Linksys support site I get the message “firmware not available, sorry for the inconvenience.” Since the suggested solutions to so many problems posted in the forum is to first upgrade the firmware, I find this response with no explanation quite annoying. I am in the midst of trying to update the controller firmware of a cisco wireless lan contoller 4402, and having some issues getting the file to transfer to the controller. i am currently running verison 5.0.148 on the controller and attempting to upgrade to the latest version of 7.0.230 and for whatever reason it continues to not transfer. I have tried all 3 methods of cli, gui and using wcs software. all the no avail , I have tried tftp32 and 3cdaemon with the same results.
The error that i am getting from 3cdaemon is got socket timeout aborting code 10054, failing at 66MB transfered. I increased the timeouts both on the wlc and the tftp client to no avail

I have a wrt54g (8.1) that was acting a little funny so did some googling and followed the instructions to install new firmware. First the installation failed, double checked to make sure I downloaded the correct file (FW_WRT54G_8.1.09.02_US_20071227.bin), did a reset and power cycle. There is no “firmware” number after the model and I believe this router has never had a firmware upgrade. However, if I try to download any of the 3 upgrades from the Linksys support site I get the message “firmware not available, sorry for the inconvenience.” Since the suggested solutions to so many problems posted in the forum is to first upgrade the firmware, I find this response with no explanation quite annoying. I am having problems replacing my current hardwired Linksys two port router with the WRK54G wireless 4-port router. Questions regarding that problem I will post under a different topic. I am in the midst of trying to update the controller firmware of a cisco wireless lan contoller 4402, and having some issues getting the file to transfer to the controller. i am currently running verison 5.0.148 on the controller and attempting to upgrade to the latest version of 7.0.230 and for whatever reason it continues to not transfer. I have tried all 3 methods of cli, gui and using wcs software. all the no avail , I have tried tftp32 and 3cdaemon with the same results.
The error that i am getting from 3cdaemon is got socket timeout aborting code 10054, failing at 66MB transfered. I increased the timeouts both on the wlc and the tftp client to no avail

I have tried to upgrade the firmware to the latest greatest but keep getting the ’Incorrect image file’ error. I bought two of the V1 units and had no trouble with one of them but the other is frustrating me. Having problems losing connectivity so decided to upgrade firmware from v1.00.7 to latest version available.
Downloaded the upgrade file and log into web based administrator. Select file and click on UPGRADE button. A couple of clicks on timeline then: UGRADE FAILED
